So far, so good. But I find they give out after only 5 years.... we will see. The inside light is bright and a very nice upgrade. I like the ability to move the shelves where I want them. Freezer on the bottom is awesome too.

This is my review for model wrb322dmbm single refrigerator door, bottom freezer, delivered from Home Depot, Sept 2026. I needed the door to swing in the opposite direction, so the delivery guys reversed the door and moved the door handle to the right side. They couldn't get the handle to sit properly in the screws so that the handle wouldn't rattle. The door handle is held in place by 2 small inset screws and there is no groove for the handle to solidly anchor into. Poor design. In addition, the decorative screws to then cover the 2 holes (where the original handle was) have grey plastic heads which got stripped in their initial removal from the right side. I tried to get replacement screws to fill those holes, but neither Whirlpool nor Whirlpool parts had them even listed to purchase (I emailed and got a response that the part does not exist in their inventory). One more thing: the ice maker worked but the ice was wet and so stuck together. Perhaps this was a result of the door handle switch, but I doubt it, since the freezer door was not touched. Home Depot was great, however, and replaced my fridge with the same model and this new one seems to work fine, though the door handle issue is the same - it does not slot into place - it is only the inset screws (tightened w a very small allen wrench) that keeps the handle in place. So I will keep the allen wrench handy to keep tightening the handle when it rattles. Seems insane that I have to do this with a $2K fridge. I wish I had bought the Maytag, though now that Maytag is part of the Whirlpool family perhaps it also has been cheapened.

$1,800 for this refrigerator and the ice maker doesn't work. Right out of the box. It's never worked. Had to get someone to come look at it and he said the motor doesn't work...on a brand new fridge. And of course they have to order the part and come back to fix it. So here we are, two weeks in and having to buy ice. There's ZERO reason for this. Only reason I'm not doing 1 star is because the the actual refrigerator part has worked well.

Within one week of product delivery and installation, a bar in the freezer drawer became dislodged. I called Woodbury Appliance, (where I purchased this product). They told me that whirlpool would send me a replacement. I was told to call them back when I receive the replacement and they would install it. I continue to call Woodbury Appliance every two weeks but have still not received the replacement. Freezer drawer may not close completely. This causes excessive frost buildup in freezer

Everything is very accessible in this frig, which is identical to my last one. Light and bright, but less insulated: the outside of frig is very cold. Had to raise freezer from "4" up to "5", so ice cream not runny. All products are very accessible. Just wish this frig wasn't so loud. It makes moaning noises and sounds like a heavy rain has started. But, it's organized exactly like my last frig inside, and I appreciate that!

I replaced a French door of another brand as the ice dispenser on the old one was always malfunctioning.The ice maker on this one works great, its in the lower freezer and the ice is solid and frozen not wet or stuck together.The refrigerator is quiet ,sturdy, closes solidly, and I am very happy with it. The only thing I would change is that the control for temperature are numbers 1 thru 9 not temperature indicators so with out a thermometer you cant tell what the temp is.

Basic refrigerator, with ice maker, which is what I wanted.
Pluses: simple controls, glass shelves, bottom freezer.
Minuses: Extremely noisy; loud fans and long cycle times. Wide temperature swings in fridge-35 to 47 degrees; High temp. in freezer often exceeds 44 degrees-presume defrost cycle temp? Disappointed with purchase.

This is our lake house fridge. The size is great, adequate drawer space and shelves, love the bright lights in fridge and freezer, ice maker keeps up with our needs, and vegetables are kept fresh. The only problem is the freezer temperature doesn™™t reach zero degrees and we have it set on the coldest setting.

I've had the product for 2 months, already having issues with the freezer not closing properly. It's taking over 2 weeks for a service visit and until then have to manage straps around it to keep the food from thawing. Not a great start and not feeling very confident about longevity.

It took some time to arrange the shelves the way i wanted. I like the platform at the bottom i can place some food there and then to the counter. What I cannot get used to is how the frig door is very hard to open. The freezer also took time to find exactly how I wanted it.

My mom bought this refrigerator in late 2021 after the last one gave up the ghost after 20 years. She liked the design and its versatility with the fridge cabinet being on top and the freezer on bottom, so my family and I wouldn't have to bend over too much just to get to the fridge.
Fast forward to 2026, I started to hear a loud buzzing sound in the late night on 07/28/2026. We called in an appliance repairman, and he did the diagnosis. Unfortunately, the compressor gave out, he said that it was not worth repairing and it was better to buy a new one, despite DYING after only FIVE YEARS!
For how much this refrigerator cost, it should have lasted 10 to 20 years!
Bottom Line: Never again will my family or me in the future buy anything from Whirl-FAIL ever again.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator. I am very happy with it. I have owned Whirlpool refrigerators, dishwashers and microwaves for as long as I can remember. The Whirlpool refrigerator I replaced was 19 years old. It was still working great. I was just having trouble with the doors. Needed new gaskets and had to close the doors together or they wouldn't close. I'll always have Whirlpool.

On the whole, this is a really good fridge. The bottom freezer arrangement with a single door on top means that you have significantly more usable capacity than a french door refrigerator, and the doors have ample space for storage. The fridge is well lit on the inside, and I haven't struggled to find good places to put all of my things (though a closing butter compartment would have been welcomed).
The only downsides that keep it from being five stars are the freezer configuration, which, while the norm these days, trades away lots of usable space by designing it as a pull-out drawer as opposed to just letting you open the door and put stuff in/out of a fixed compartment, and the fact that the drawer supports in the fridge are a bit large, requiring some creative tetris for taller containers.
On the whole, though, I didn't have a ton of great options for the size of the space in my kitchen, and I've been quite satisfied with this fridge!

Bought our unit from Ray's Appliance in Rouses Point NY. They have always been fantastic with sales, service, installation, and removal of the old appliance. We had one that was almost exactly the same. I'm not sure if I miss the butter cover/lid because if you forgot to close it on the old one it would prevent a good door seal and you thought it was closed properly. It has different racks/organizers in the freezer but that's OK. All told very nice!

Very nice refrigerator, everything in the fridge is ice cold. You open the door every thing is eye level. I have no complaints and the freezer is nice with an ice maker works well. The fridge is very quiet. The outside has a nice stainless finish.

The fridge turns on and off and it sounds like it™™s taking a lot of energy to turn it on. I don™™t know why the motor sounds like it™™s struggling to turn on. I™™ve only had the fridge for a few months. I thought this fridge was supposed to be energy efficient. It™™s great cooling power. I had to lower the temperature because it was too cold.

We bought this refrigerator to replace a GE Profile french door model. Our decision was weighted by size. The Whirlpool has the same capacity and very close to the same outside dimensions so it seemed like a good choice. However, even though the capacity rating is the same, this one seems smaller inside and a little harder to organize than the GE. I do feel the double doors of the GE provided more unique spaces. Also, the door shelves on the Whirlpool are not quite as deep. The one thing that has proven to be an on-going annoyance is the electronic temperature control. When viewed in the store without power, one assumes the temperature settings and read-outs are in degrees, but they're not, even though the panel looks digital. The settings are just random numbers 1-7. They suggest beginning with 4 and adjusting from there. However, beware, there is no thermometer to read, so you'll need to buy one or two. We bought 2 digital and 2 mercury styles. The advantage of the digital is you can get the minimum and maximum range the fridge has been at over time. I've also found that where you place the thermometer makes a difference in the reading. I get some expensive medicine that needs to be stored between 34 and 46 degrees. I can't depend that the temperature will stay in that range. We also found that it takes a long time to get the temperature to initially settle in. The delivery guy said wait 2 hours before loading it. The store said you don't need to wait. The Whirlpool literature says 24 hours??? While this refrigerator is not all bad, I would not recommend it because of the temperature control. Hence, the three stars. Get one with a digital rather than electronic control. Too bad nobody explained the difference to us before we bought it.

Replaced a 20 year old appliance this was much more robust. The doors are very light weight and don™™t always close completely. The door handles easily are removed making the access through doorways much easier. Seems to work fine just needs stronger door closer. Overall a good value and would purchase again.

The unit does what is expected of it. Therefore, it is average. The capacity is nearly equal to the top line of another brand i replaced when it failed under warranty. I chose this unit for the simplicity. The freezer on the bottom provides more storage than on the top. Plus, who enjoys frozen food falling on your toes? This arrangement also makes it convenient to reach the back of the frig without needing to stoop. This does not have water and so what? I get cold filtered water from my house faucet. The ice maker is productive and likely more reliable since it's located in the freezer. The transparent shelves all nearly units have is a standard expectation along with the migration of spills in this design.

Nice basic quiet fridge with lots of shelves, drawers and bins on door. Great ice maker with large bin and makes plenty of ice, and excellent light. The vacuum/negative pressure seal works great, so you can not re-open fridge or freezer immediately after closing. You have to wait a minute for the pressure to equalize so I keep it open longer to finish doing everything instead of multiple open/close. Freeze space is adequate but not spacious as 1/3 of the top drawer is taken up by the ice bin. Hope this last 10yrs like all my other Whirlpool.

This refrigerator replaced an LG of similar design. The LG has more room, the arrangement of the drawers was superior to the Whirlpool, the freezer drawer opens and closes much smoother in the LG. The only reason I got this Whirlpool is because LG did not have any of the 33" bottom freezers in stock. I am very disappointed in the Whirlpool.

Bought this Whirlpool 33 inch wide refrigerator to replace our junky & expensive Samsung French door unit. I like that the this refrigerator has the capacity we needed without complicated electronics or dispensing features that can cause plenty of problems. The bin drawers are very cheap plastic and you need to be careful not to pull them to far or they come out of their tracks. Exterior stainless steel finish is very nice looking. Overall I am satisfied so far

1. My wife loves the bottom freezer. It has good capacity and maintains a constant temperature.
2. Relative to my last refrigerator, it operates very quietly. Maybe not best in class, but pretty good.
3. The shelves are very easily adjustable. We have them set where they meet out current needs, but can easily move them if we have to refrigerate something extra tall for a few days.
4. The icemaker has worked flawlessly. Always fresh ice available when needed.
