Great disappointment.

The entire cooling system and compressor were replaced after failing. The refrigerator was delivered in March and failed within 3 months. This refrigerator replaced the exact same model I purchased 2.5 years ago. That refrigerator's cooling system and compressor failed as well. When it couldnt be repaired by Bodewell GE fulfilled the warranty. I appreciated the replacement; extremely disappointed in having the same failure occur. I am praying the repairs will last.

I am a little disappointed that this model does not display the amount of water dispenser like the model that it allegedly replaced in the product line up. ALSO despite being listed as a replacement for a discontinued model it uses a different water filter and I have a tjree pack remaining from the previous refrigerator. Any chance GE will give me a credit for three RPEFE filters so I can now purchase XWFE ones

My wife hates it. We've had it 3 years and we found that the freezer door doesn't close easily. When it doesn't close properly, the contents thaw and we lose what's in there. This has happened at least 3 times in the 3-years that we've owned it. We just bought its replacement. We will let the folks making delivery haul it off.

We have had this refrigerator just under 4 years, we have a mother board replaced, multiple LED lights replaced, and now again it is not cooling and need to have a technician out again. The warranty is crap and the first mother board wasn™€™t covered, so now if this is another expensive fix I will just replace the refrigerator with another brand and never buy GE again. What happen to you GE, use to be so trusted, but I guess profits over reliability and quality is the new edict.

This fridge has been a bad buy for us. It took 3 deliveries to receive one that wasn't dented. The freezer is constantly defrosting to the point we no longer keep meat there. The ice maker quit a couple months in. Lowes warranty gave us money for the fix that didn't even cover the part. Apparently, the ice machine motor and butter have to be completely replaced. Capacity is super low. I generally love GE Profile products but I would suggest skipping this one.

French doors limit ease of use

The refrigerator has limited capacity for storage and the French Doors are a nuisance to use. The freezer drawer is difficult to use. However, the drawers for meats and other items are well designed and the digital settings are easy to use. The ice maker works efficiently, but the ice cubes are small. The biggest problem- the right front door had a faulty gasket - it was actually disgraceful to sell a unit with this defect and it took over a month to get the gasket replaced!

The refrigerator looks great. However the performance is lacking and the layout is less than idea. The doors do not shut easy, you meed to be sure you push the doors to close tight. The ice maker is poor. It takes to long to make ice and the dispenser really lacks the ability to to move ice through. The holders inside the door are poorly designed. The plastic is cheap and thin. How much can cost be removed from this expensive refrigerator that feels cheap.

Capacity is 3 cf smaller than our previous GE but the shelf arrangements are more efficient and we can make better us of the space configuration. We only needed the ice maker but this came with that and a water dispenser on the outside. My wife likes that and the stainless steel smudge resistant finish. We are happy after a full month of use.

I like the configuration of the shelves and drawers. I had a french door refrigerator before and like the style. My last GE refrigerator had curved handles and this one does too but they are slightly more modern which I like. The options on the ice and water dispenser on the door are not illuminated. Only the last option used is lit. This is annoying when the kitchen light isn't on.

Do not recommend, we™€™ve had this refrigerator for 3 years now, we™€™ve already had a service man come out 3 times already for the same problem, the freezer stops freezing, we™€™ve lost food because of it and since the freezer isn™€™t working, the ice maker won™€™t make ice, they changed something on the fridge the first time, then came out again to change the entire closed cooling system, came out A 3rd time, for the exact same issue, and here we are a 4th time, with the same issue and they can™€™t come out till June 4th. Do better GE, this isan almost $3000 refrigerator, we should not be continuously having the same cooling problem.

Whoever designed this ice maker needs a new job and should never be allowed to work on refrigerators again. This ice maker is ten times worse than my parents™€™ refrigerator from the 90s. You™€™d think that through the years, icemakers would become more advanced or better, but not this one. The ice constantly gets stuck in the ice chute and clogs up. Not to mention, if you are getting crushed ice, it goes everywhere but your cup. It™€™s so bad that it™€™s almost worth getting a new refrigerator.

I have not been able to change filter after following the manual and every video I could find; can it be put in backwards? I really don™€™t like that I have to open both doors to open the drawer! Everything is great. My only issue with GE refrigerators is the difficulty in changing the water filter. I cannot do it. It is placed too high in the refrigerator for me to get the leverage to turn it. Very poor design; same as in my last one from 25 years ago.

It was selected by the builder, so I didn't have a say in the selection when I bought my new house. It's half of the size of my LG refrigerator at my old house. The freezer has no room. A frozen pizza won't even fit laying flat. Thank goodness I have a second frig/freezer that could contain the rest of my food when I first moved in. Then - less than 60 days in, the freezer completely stopped working! I lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. Sure, the service will be covered by the warranty, but it has created quite the nightmare!

Keeping My Fingers Crossed

After years of being a very satisfied GE appliance customer, I ordered a new GE Profile refrigertor in July 2025. This refrigeratoris ( arriving lastbmonth) a replacement for the first GE Profile I purchased. After months of unstable temperatures, 2 freezer fulls and 1 refrigerator full of food lost, and multiple attempts to repair it, instead of the refund I requested I received this replacement. So far it is maintaining close to set temperatures in both freezer and refrigerator sections. But given my past experience. I am very leary and will give it 6 months before I am going to trust it. My faith has been badly shaken.

Great product. Love the fact that you can configure the shelves the way you want them. My issue is with all the strapping tape that was on it and how difficult it was to remove. It even took off some of the paint on the sides when trying to remove it. The amount of pink film all over was very difficult to remove also since it was installed before it was put together and deep in all the cracks.

Frig PYE22KYNFS Too noisy 2/27/2026

This GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator PYE22KYNFS is extremely noisy and I only have it a week and very disappointed. My first GE Profile Refrigerator lasted 14 years PFCS1RKZA SS and sorry it died.

Counter depth Profile french door refrigerator

This unit has about the same capacity as the GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator it replaced, but the french door and bottom freezer configuration make the storage space much more useful. Each section has its own evaporator and fan, so efficiency should be a bit better. We will see. The ice dispenser in the door was a required feature for us, and works well. The extra tall dispensing area is quite useful. Things I wish it did: On our old Profile you could adjust internal temperatures, same as this unit. The old one would also tell you what the actual temperatures were, which was very handy. I wish this unit came with an extra divider in the freezer drawer and main freezer bin. (We ordered one for the bin. Helps keeps things sorted.) The on-line descriptions need more clarity about the ice maker in the freezer. It does not come with the refrigerator, it is a special order kit that must be installed by a technician. That bit of information is buried deep in the detail description.

Perfect size, Great Ice maker, Auto sensing water fill is nice feature. Well lit when opened. Only thing I miss from my old fridge is the temps would be displayed whenever doors were opened, not a big deal.

Worst Refrigerator Ever Owned

This refrigerator failed to cool properly from the time of purchase. Our observations: - Food in refrigerator compartment often at 40 degrees and higher as measured by digital and analog thermometers even when fridge was set at lowest possible temperature. Service record of loggers from our local authorized repair company show this. - Even if you keep doors closed for hours and hours, fridge fails to reach the temperature GE/Haier recommends in their documentation (38F) when opened infrequently or not at all - Cooling cycle STOPS RUNNING before the refrigerator ever gets close to set temperature. The variation between set temperature and actual is large and significant, not slight - the fact the icemaker stopped working was minor compared to the cooling issues Authorized and GE service people acknowledged the cooling issues but were unable to fix in 7 or 8 service calls. GE engineering claims the fridge "is working as designed." When GE Engineering indicates that, Customer Care will not replace fridge or provide refund. ALL refrigerators we have ever owned reached the the temperature we set in 3 hours or fewer and kept food out of the danger zone with no issues. Not this one. Avoid this poorly designed refrigerator.

Love this Refrigerator

I needed a counter-depth refrigerator, and my new GE Profile is perfect. The fingerprint-resistant finish is beautiful and easy to clean. I like the placement of the drawers and shelves and the ability to move things around. I have had this refrigerator for three months now and have zero complaints and no regrets. I would purchase the same model again. Gerhard™€™s was wonderful to work with, and Christina, the sales rep who helped us was top notch!

Refrigerator is lookin' good

Only a couple of weeks in with this GE product. The french doors are a great use of space and the freezer drawer is large. Amazing how much it holds. The motor is very quiet and I like the 'no fingerprint' finish. Best feature is the water spigot on the door and also the dispenser for ice cubes. So far so good!

Where do I start.. the ice maker is absolutely slow. The ice maker door freezes shut. It leaks at the door. The refrigerator is loud and makes weird noises. The auto water dispenser is slow and never fills up a container. Fills for5 seconds and says error. I have to hit fill 12+ times before the container is full. It takes 5+ minutes to fill 16oz. For $3,500 worst purchase ever

Disappointing compared to older GE Profile model

Bought this GE Profile refrigerator to replace a very similar product (PYE23) that died. This refrigerator has been somewhat disappointing. The inside capacity is noticeably less than the earlier model. The main french doors are much harder to close. The freezer capacity is less, and the drawers are more awkward. And it was delivered with a ding in a door that needs to be replaced.
