Oven elements stopped heating after warranty

For the first bit of owning the range,it worked great. Both the stovetop and oven. Shortly after the 1 year warranty expired however, the oven no longer heats up on any mode. Testing the amps being output to the elements, it seems as if there is a control board issue providing power to the elements.

Please bring back slide-in ranges instead of "drop-in" ranges. I like the look of this range but now I am trying to figure out how to cover the gap between the counter and the range. It's a nuisance that I simply do not have time for. The top finish is also kind of gritty instead of smooth which makes it harder to clean. The rubber edging along the front control panel is also sticky and hard to clean.

Dangerous Knobs

I have been buying GE appliances for over 40 years. I love this range/oven for what it can do. However, I noticed other manufacturers with knobs on the front are going with a squeeze and turn know for safety. I have been lucky so far but, it is extremely easy to lean and turn a eye on with a push only. Just reaching for items on upper shelf will turn a knob on. This is my first complaint to GE. I am hoping they too as a manufacturer are changing the design of their knobs.

Good features; a few minor issue areas

I like the various features: air fry, convection, pull out bottom oven tray, although I've yet to use any of them. I also like the controls on the front of the range but found it is difficult to manage the controls when the oven has been on or broiler is in use, as it is hot and doesn't seem to respond to anything except a human fingertip (not gloved). The front panel is also almost overly sensitive so constantly activating something when cleaning it (also hit 'cancel' after cleaning). I hate not having a paper manual. It takes forever to find the downloaded version & find what I want. And no - I don't want to have to print it out myself.

Questionable quality

I'm sorry to say I am disappointed in this range for several reasons. The burners are difficult to regulate, seems they are barely warm or very hot. The broiler has never worked since day one. Did not heat enough to melt cheese. The drawer does not slide in well. Knobs are lightweight with a poor finish. This model had good ratings on appliance websites. I don't know how that happened

Good Replacement for Our 11 year-old Stove

It was not possible to replace our stove with an identically-sized model so a bit of adjustment to the space was required. Very happy with the stove. Heats up quickly and has a few features the old one didn't. I have not used the "steam clean" yet but believe it will be a better choice than the extremely high temp "self clean" (I believe use of this is what "killed" the old stove). The removable bottom tray is a great feature.

It™€™s very basic. The first time I used it I was boiling water and it left these tings on the top that I can™€™t wash off. The surface looks terrible and it won™€™t come clean. I™€™ve had other glass top stoves and this has never happened. Also , one of the burners only had a high setting so I had to get someone in to get it fixed. It works fine. It™€™s a basic stove. The air fryer doesn™€™t fry.

Front of stove extremely hot when oven on

In May 2026 I purchased this GE range. Overall, I like the range, however, one thing I really don™€™t like is that the control panel on the front where the cooktop knobs and the control panel is gets extremely hot to the touch when the oven is being used. The whole silver panel gets extremely hot and the knobs to turn on the burners gets warm I never had this happen before with previous ovens that I owned. I would™€™ve given this range of much higher score if this didn™€™t happen.

Looks great, cooks and bakes well. I purchased this unit with the steam clean feature vs. the self clean wich uses high heat. After an air fry spatter, I used the steam clean feature and it did not dissolve the mess as advertised. Very dissapointed , but will need to scrub off splatters in oven.

I was redoing my kitchen and this was the next higher up model. I don't really cook anything except french fries and pizza, but I like the fact that it's flush mount right against my backsplash. Another weird feature is that it has internet access. Don't really know how this works but I'm afraid I might accidentally turn it on. Do people really need to preheat the oven remotely? Seems like an accident waiting to happen if people forgot that they left stuff in there

I really love the cook top portion of this range. I like the controls for cooktop. The oven is OK. It is accurate in the temp so that is good. I have burned myself a few times on the oven door as it hot is weird places causing burns. I DO NOT LIKE the bottom drawer, it is small and very hard open. The door to the oven is cheap a light. I LOVE the bottom removable tray, that is fantastic for clean up. The size of oven is disappointing and the placements of the racks seem off, like it is not spaced out well. I have not used the convection or air fryer feature.

Very Murphy's Law. Brand new oven in brand new home. One month past the end of warranty period the convection burner no longer works. We thought we were part of a lucky few who didn't have an issue with our stove. Others in this neighborhood have had multiple issues with GE appliances, including the stove. We have the Profile set. This includes Stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and built-in oven. I went to boil some water this morning and noticed the water not warming up. The stove said stovetop hot, but the burner was not on. Given the large number of problems among our neighbors, we will be changing most of the GE appliances out for another brand. Sad when products can barely make it a year.

I totally resent having to use a computer to learn how to use the range. Instructions for use should come with the item. I have had the stove for 5 months and have yet to go in to the computer to see how to operate. Its total discrimination that one has to use a computer to be able to use a product. It is not self-cleaning... steam clean instead. I am not yet sure if I like the change. There was no instruction booklet. I cannot find information online to my satisfaction. I have not yet found if I can do "timed bake"... set the oven to come on at a certain time later in the day to bake potatoes. I do love at the look. I like that the bottom tray comes out easily to clean.

This Range is a safety hazard. The knobs in front turn too easily -3 times in our first month of ownership we found a burner accidentally turned on, we could have burned our house down. In addition, one burner the lowest setting stays on like ™€œhigh™€. GE please help me get a new range.

I'm very pleased with the performance and value of this GE Electric Range. It offers Bake, Convection Bake, Broil, and Air Fry (no preheat), as its primary oven modes, plus some handy oven buttons to select special settings for Fresh/Reheat, Pizza (no preheat). Up top, the range has 4 buruers. The rear 2 are saucepan sized, and the front 2 are dual-size pan burners that can handle saucepans, 10-inch pans, and 11-inch pans. There's also a warming "burner" that runs at 170F. I haven't used every function there is, but those I have work perfectly, so I have to go with 5 stars, and If something doesn't work right, I'll revisit this review. If I didn't know otherwise, I'd think it was a Profile model.

I would never buy this range again! The air fryer is a joke! I bake often and nothing comes out like it should. I would be better off buying dessert from a store. Controls for the cooktop are not very user friendly. The knobs don™€™t indicate which way to turn knob for burners that have two sizes. If you reach over the cook top to above cabinet it™€™s easy for the control knobs to be turned. I guess the solution is to take the knobs off and only put on the burner you™€™re going to use. I haven™€™t used convection option. Energy is ok. It will probably fail in operation just like the other settings. When the oven is on the cooktop gets warm. Heat pours out of the top of the oven door when the oven is on. The capacity is ok. I™€™ve probably wasted my time in reviewing this range. I™€™m sure it won™€™t be even be read. If there™€™s a slim chance it is read hearing a response is just as slim. As people often do I have shared with family and friends my disappointment with this range. Subbed the wrong broken knob

Stove delivered with the wrong knob and that knob was broken in two spots. When I checked for a replacement it was out of stock. And the heating element alternates erratically.

Dangerous heat on top front panel

When oven is on the front panel above the oven door gets very hot and dangerous to small children. The knobs for top cooking are easy to brush against and turn on a burner without knowing. The bottom drawer is not easy to access and gets hot when oven is used. The cooktop edges are plastic and allow spills to seep under making it hard to clean. The sides don™€™t overlap countertop so you have to purchase gap fillers from Amazon. Disappointed!

Lack of quality over the years

Overall rating, as more years pass, instead of making progress with products, which cost double the price compared to 20 years ago, they build them with less and less quality and necessary features are omitted. The ceramic cooking top gets stained even with splash boiling water, I practically live with the scraping blade in my hand trying to keep it clean and shining, those little dots on the cooking surface are a minus improvement. Heat on mid setting range is very, very slow to pick up temperature. Not having independent hot/ on burners lights in another flaw. Oven steam clean features is completely useless, it doesn't clean anything. When are they going to manufacture an appliance that really have all the quality and features needed for the customers ? The surface is already dents by itself, not possible pot drops or anything, is just like broken around those annoying little dots.

We like it better than the old LG

I have had this unit for two weeks and I like it much more than the LG I had for 8.5 years. The burners control much better - smooth heating and all burners heat at a reasonable rate. The LG burners were very slow to heat liquids except for the extra- heat one which I used whenever I could. The oven controls are not quite all intuitive but we are getting used to them. The front panel requires more pressure to select anything and I'm getting more used to that. I wish the adjusters on the feet would go higher. I have ordered risers and am waiting for a contractor to come and install them for me. Until then, I have plywood sticking out the front where it was put by the delivery people to get the unit up to my counter height. They said my "counter was too high", but the LG adjusters did get that old unit to their height.

Great features that actually frees up counterspac

The center mounted control panel needs to be rethought...my wife hits them several times each time she cooks. Maybe they could be recessed inward to make the buttons harder to touch yet not so much as to be difficult to access. Otherwise, Otherwise, this range is awesome!

The pizza setting makes amazing crust, the fresh reheat is a feature I didn't know I needed, air fryer is always a bonus and to be able to take out the bottom tray and wash it after spills is the bomb!
